I found the introduction to "Beyond God the Father" by: Mary Daly, was very interesting. I have learned a lot about the caste systems and never really thought about it in terms to just women. It is also interesting to see how religion, in the past has viewed women as unholy, and those who will lead you to the devil. At least this is how I understood her reading. I also did not know that even in religions that do ordain women, there are not very many who become fully ordained. Why is this? If the religion allows it, then why don't more women in that religion want to become ordained? Or is it something farther in the religion that is keeping them from being ordained? I also liked how she stated that it is not just a "Catholic" problem. (pg. 5) She really puts it out there that all religions are to blame for not involving women. It is nice to have someone willing to say that all religions are flawed when it comes to womens roles in them. She brings a lot of issues to the table that I believe many people are to afraid to talk about.
